Gelli Printing Workshop – September 17

Description

Discover the colorful, creative world of gel printing in this hands-on all-levels workshop. You’ll learn the fundamentals of making one-of-a-kind monoprints using a gel press, acrylic paints, and a variety of fun texture tools. Along the way, you’ll experiment with different papers, techniques, and materials to see how each choice creates a unique result. You’ll leave with a collection of beautiful prints, plenty of inspiration, and the confidence to keep creating.

This class takes place on Thursday, September 17th at 6:00pm at Pudding Art Studio (911 River Rd, Eugene).
Pre-Registration is required.

We will focus on a three-layer printing process that is guaranteed to create beautiful, frameable prints.

Students will learn:
* how to layer paint on the gelli plate for different effects
* how to use tools such as stencils, masks, and mark-making tools to create texture and color on the gelli plate
* how to use a stencil and masks to create a focal point in the artwork
* how to line up each layer for cohesive prints
* how different types of papers act on the gelli plate

Ages:
This workshop is open to participants age 8 to adult. Children under 18 years old must attend with a supervising adult and must be fully supervised the entire time. Both supervising adult and child must purchase tickets.

Cancellation Policy:
Money for ticket sales are used to purchase tools and supplies for each participant. For this reason, we cannot offer refunds for cancelled classes. Ticket purchases are final. However, please let me know if you won’t be attending by emailing: [email protected]. If possible, I will make available the consumable supplies for the workshop so you can still do it on your own!
